Trip to The Hangout, 21st Jan 2010
www.thehangout.com.sg
Hangout cafe at 64 Princep street.
This place is super cool. Board games and console games all rolled into one… at damn affordable rates.
if you can’t find the place, look for the HUGE yoshi soft toy outside the window. If there was a domo kun the size of that, sherry would probably marry me on the spot. XD kidding
The design of the place was superly well done.. See what i mean..
that’s the wall paper! damn dope can.
Me and Sherry are all ready to game!!! huat ah!
We decided to try band hero for our first game. We played it on the Xbox.
Did you know they have meals too?
Not the “er i think since we’re running a cafe so we better throw in random food into the menu” kind.
Nope, all the food was DAMN GOOD.
I have to say i absolutely hate popcorn (in general). If i think that fries are the root of all evil, I think popcorn is the devil itself. But The Hangout changed my mind completely.
This is the first time that found my hands in the popcorn bowl over and over again. The popcorn is the the sweet and clumped together kind… its super shiok and fresh! i later found out that they actually have a popcorn machine. super impressive! Best popcorn i have ever eaten, EVER. it trashed all the movie popcorn upside down.
So remember, popcorn is a MUSTHAVE when you’re at The Hangout. Borrow, beg, steal if you don’t have $$$.
Don’t be fooled by this seemingly harmless dish. At first i was like “huh”?? all yellow?? but once i started eating it….
i saw a beautiful scenery of mountains, and fishes swimming in a freshwater river, and lovely pastures of green grass…. k kidding but trust me its super good. its Really cheesy (must try for all the cheese lovers out there.)
chicken chop. Well edited shot is courtesy of sherry!
That’s sherry’s dinner. Cooked with the loving hands of the mum of the guy boss there. You can feel the mothers love oozing out of every steaming pore of the yummy chicken.
He’s the HR manager of the shop and he’s in charge of the board games. Hehelped us with alot of stuff and kept us company too. Thanks man!!
The gf loves this monkey! Monkeys is the theme of this cafe.
These sponge toys are from this gangster game, something to do with mafia and the yakuza. Damn i can’t remember the name! but you actually have to use the provided weapons to “attack” your friends in the board game. quite cute.
The whole crew from The Hangout.
They are a super friendly bunch can?!! They were very hospitable and treated everyone who came in really friendly-ly, including us!
Will def miss The Hangout!
Thank you Hangout! Me and Sherry will def drop by again. =)
